About Us
Background
Prince of Songkla University has appointed the Board of PSU Knowledge Bank by issuing the document No. 1854/2551 dated October 1, 2008. The committee is responsible for the implementation of the PSU Knowledge Bank Project. During the first year of operation, The Board of PSU Knowledge Bank established the initial concept of the system. The PSUKB Working Group was then established on January 28, 2009, according to order of the the Khunying Long Athakravisunthorn Learning Resources Center No. 3/2552. The Working Group is consisting of personnel from the the Khunying Long Athakravisunthorn Learning Resources Center. On November 2009, the Working Groups started by selecting and testing the relevant software readily available, and finally DSpace- an Open Source Software suitable for managing electronic archives, was selected.
In June 2010, Phase 2 of the project was carried out. The Working Group had completed the installation of the system. Theses and Research Reports stored in the existing system were imported to the PSU Knowledge Bank, and trainings were provided for various departments within the university so that the knowledge of Prince of Songkla University can be collected thoroughly and sustainably.
มหาวิทยาลัยสงขลานครินทร์ มีคำสั่งแต่งตั้งคณะกรรมการโครงการคลังปัญญามหาวิทยาลัยสงขลานครินทร์ตามคำสั่งที่ 1854/2551 เมื่อวันที่ 1 ตุลาคม 2551 โดยมีหน้าที่ ขับเคลื่อนการดำเนินงานของโครงการให้เป็นรูปธรรม ในระยะการดำเนินการปีแรก คณะกรรมการโครงการคลังปัญญามหาวิทยาลัยสงขลานครินทร์ได้กำหนดแนวคิดเบื้องต้นของระบบ จากนั้น มอบหมายให้สำนักทรัพยากรการเรียนรู้คุณหญิงหลง อรรถกระวีสุนทร ซึ่งเป็นหน่วยงานที่มี ประสบการณ์ด้านการจัดเก็บและเผยแพร่สารสนเทศ จัดตั้งคณะกรรมการดำเนินงานเมื่อวันที่ 28 มกราคม 2552 ตามคำสั่งสำนักฯ ที่ 3/2552 ประกอบด้วยบุคลากรของสำนักทรัพยากรการเรียนรู้คุณหญิงหลง อรรถกระวีสุนทร โดยมีพัฒนาการ ดังนี้ เดือนพฤศจิกายน 2552 คณะกรรมการได้เริ่มดำเนินงาน โดยทำหน้าที่เลือกและทดสอบ ระบบที่จะนำมาใช้ และได้คัดเลือกโปรแกรมดีสเปซ (DSpace) เป็นซอฟต์แวร์ระบบเปิดเผยรหัส หรือ Open Source ที่นำมาใช้ในการจัดการคลังเอกสารอิเล็กทรอนิกส์
เดือนมิถุนายน 2553 ได้ดำเนินการในระยะที่ 2 คณะกรรมการดำเนินงานได้ติดตั้งระบบให้สมบูรณ์ รวมทั้งนำเข้าความรู้ที่เป็นวิทยานิพนธ์และรายงานการวิจัยเป็นการนำร่องโครงการคลังปัญญา มหาวิทยาลัยสงขลานครินทร์ และจัดให้มีการอบรมวิธีการใช้งานแก่หน่วยงานต่าง ๆ ภายในมหาวิทยาลัยเพื่อร่วมกันรวบรวมความรู้ของมหาวิทยาลัยสงขลานครินทร์ให้ครบถ้วนสมบูรณ์อย่างยั่งยืนต่อไป

Vision
To be an information repository that collects and preserves the works and knowledge of Prince of Songkla University in order to disseminate useful knowledge supporting the lifelong learning society.
Mission and Scope
The Prince of Songkla University Knowledge Bank (PSUKB) is an Institutional Repository (IR) that collects and preserves academic works and knowledge of Prince of Songkla University lecturers, students, and personnel, including theses, dissertations, research reports, research articles, textbooks, work manuals, schematic building and layout plans, and other university department works. With the idea of a modern repository system for efficient and practical use for archiving, searching and dissemination, PSUKB is the center of collaboration among students, staff and faculties who will help build this University's Knowledge Bank. The collection has been published in digital format by the work's owner in accordance with international standards in order to be converted into digital media (Digitize), stored (Archiving), and preserved (Preservation) in the form of documents, images, audio, and multimedia files. Users can search for information at any time and from any location for free of charge.
Objective and Goal
- To create an institutional repository of Prince of Songkla University in a standard digital format and easily accessible.
- To create a network for developing information repository and knowledge services of Prince of Songkla University.
- To disseminate the works and knowledge of Prince of Songkla University so that they are widely referenced and benefit to the public.

คลังปัญญามหาวิทยาลัยสงขลานครินทร์เป็นคลังข้อมูลที่จัดเก็บ รวบรวม(Collect) ผลงานและองค์ความรู้ของอาจารย์ นักศึกษาและบุคลากรมหาวิทยาลัยสงขลานครินทร์ที่ได้รับการอนุญาตให้เผยแพร่จากเจ้าของผลงานในรูปแบบดิจิทัลตามมาตรฐานสากล ได้แก่ วิทยานิพนธ์ สารนิพนธ์ รายงานการวิจัย บทความวิจัย หนังสือตำรา คู่มือการปฏิบัติงาน แบบแปลนอาคารแผนผัง รวมถึงผลงานอื่น ๆ ของหน่วยงานในมหาวิทยาลัยสงขลานครินทร์ มาแปลงสภาพให้เป็นสื่อดิจิทัล (Digitize) เพื่อจัดเก็บ (Archiving) สงวนรักษา (Preservation) อย่างยั่งยืน ทั้งรูปแบบไฟล์เอกสาร ภาพ เสียง มัลติมีเดีย สามารถสืบค้นข้อมูลได้ทุกที่ทุกเวลา โดยไม่มีค่าใช้จ่าย
