Abstract

Abstract

The objectives of this research is to analyze and control causes which have effect to quality of manufactured glove by using technique, Failure Mode and Effect Analysis; FMEA. The research is started from studying process by using flow process chart in order to analyze the problem. The result of study finds 7 steps (Brushing, Latex Tank, Coagulant Tank, Slurry Tank, Slurry Oven, Latex Oven and Main Oven) which must take corrective action and improvement for reducing the defects from dipping process. The specialists in manufacturing process analyze and evaluate the severity (S), occurrence (O), detection (D) to calculate risk priority number; RPN. After corrective action and improvement 7 steps, value of RPN decreases. Before the dipping process improvement, the production capacity is 69,697,958 pieces, the total defects are 45,677 pieces. After improvement, the production capacity is 70,151,147 pieces, the total defects are 23,404 pieces. After process improvement, the total defects decrease from 655 pieces per 10,000 pieces to 334 pieces per 10,000 pieces and the value of loss decrease 200,457 baht per year
