Abstract
A study of organic-chemical fertilizer production from organic wastes of a scafood processing factory was carried out using waste sludge from the primary sedimentation tank, dried sludge from the activated sludge system(3,000 kgs per month), and rubber wood bark(1,000 kgs per month). At the first stage, the waste sludge from the sedimentation tank which consisted of fish oil and meat at about 500 kilograms per month was tranformed to liquid biofertilizer at 500 litres per month. At the second stage, the Nitrogen, Phosphorus and Potassium contents in the dried sludge mixed with the rubber wood bark were analyzed which were 4.26, 1.91 and 0.62% respectively. Then chemical fertilizer was mixed with the organic waste to achieve an organic-chemical fertilizer formula 16-8-4. The total production cost was 5.05 Baht per kilogram. Then two cultivation treatments were carried out using the water spinach and corn. Three plots of cultivation consisted of no fertilizer, chemical fertilizer and organic chemical fertilizer. Result that no fertilizer, chemical fertilizer and organic chemical fertilizer for the water spinach and corn, the total weights of the water spinach were 95.25, 137.25 and 153.50 grams respectively. Whereas the total weights of corn were 0, 23.00 and 26.00 grams respectively. The result of these experiment indicated that the production from organic chemical fertilizer wsa the highest.
A study of cost production of liquid biofertilizer at 500 litres per month and organic chemical fertilizer 6,452 kilograms per month at the selling price 8.00 Baht per kilograms, whereas the total invesment in 92,500 baht, IRR is estimated 31.34% and the pay back period is 7 months. The investment of factory in community required 386,000 baht at the selling price 10.00 Baht per kilograms, IRR is 46.14% and the pay back period is 22 months.
