Abstract
The purposes of this research were: (1) to develop an innovative model in science for 21st
century based on connectivism in secondary education, (2) to try out innovative model in science
for 21st century based on connectivism in secondary education, and (3) to confirm innovative model
in science for 21st century based on connectivism in secondary education to enhance science
compretency and 21st Century learning skill of secondary students. The subjects in model
development consisted of five experts including curriculum and instruction experts, educational
technology experts, educational evaluation experts and teaching science experts. The subjects in
system experiment are 34 students from Lamthabprachanukrao who studied in tenth grade. The
research instruments consisted of questionaire, an expert interview form, a model evaluation form,
and a lesson plan. The data gathering instruments consisted of science compretency test, 21st
Century learning skill scale and a 21st Century learning skill scoring rubric. The data were analyzed
by using mean, standard deviation and t-test dependent.
The research results indicated that: The developed model consisted of 4 components as
follows: (1) Project based Learning, (2) Digital learning platform, (3) Learning environment, and
(4) Evaluation. Steps of model in science for 21st century consisted of 5steps as follows: (1) Define,
(2) Connect Node, (3) Create and Construct, (4) Share and (5) Publish. The experimental results
indicated that the subjects had science compretency post-test mean scores higher than pre-test mean
scores at .01 level of significance and had excellent level for 21st Century learning skill.
