Abstract

This research aims to design and develop a web application system for durian traceability. The investigators examined relevant Good Agricultural Practices (GAP) standards and the prerequisites for exporting durians to China to ascertain the essential information required for the traceability system. The preparedness of target durian plantations was evaluated in accordance with export criteria, and a tracking system was established for farmers, traders/collectors, and consumers. The findings demonstrated that the durian traceability web application system is applicable for farmers/orchard proprietors, traders/collectors, and consumers, encompassing the durian supply chain. The traceability system includes data from durian cultivation, harvesting, and sale in accordance with export regulations. Testing and user satisfaction assessment indicated that the system could be efficiently utilized for traceability, offering fast access to information. The average result on the test was 4.60 out of 5, which was good. The consumer satisfaction scores were also good, with an average score of 4.97 out of 5.
