Abstract

This research aimed to 1) study the development of reading comprehension skills in Al-Hadith subject after receiving the I-SQ4R method of Grade 10 students, 2) compare Grade 10 students' reading comprehension skills in Al-Hadith subject before and after using I-SQ4R method, and 3) study Grade 10 students' satisfaction towards I-SQ4R method in Al-Hadith subject. This research employed a pre-experimental design using one-group pretest-posttest design. The sample consisted of 43 Grade 10/2 students at Chongraksat Witthaya School, selected through cluster random sampling. The research instruments included 1) six I-SQ4R method plans which were evaluated by experts with highest appropriateness level at mean score of 4.57, 2) an Al-Hadith reading comprehension test with reliability coefficient of 0.80, and 3) a student satisfaction questionnaire towards I-SQ4R method in Al-Hadith subject with reliability coefficient of 0.92. The data were analyzed using mean, standard deviation, relative gain score, and dependent sample t-test.The findings revealed: 1) Students have developed reading comprehension skills in Al-Hadith subject after receiving the I-SQ4R method at a high level, with an average relative development value of 51.66, 2) students' reading comprehension skills in Al-Hadith subject after using I-SQ4R method were significantly higher than before at the .01 level, and 3) students' satisfaction towards I-SQ4R Method in Al-Hadith subject was at a high level (? = 4.36, S.D. = 0.66).??????????????????????????????????? 1) ??????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????
