Abstract

The aim of this study is to identify barriers and propose solutions for enhancing complaint management at the Damrongdhama Center in Narathiwat Province. Employing a qualitative research approach, data were gathered through in-depth interviews with 21 key informants, and analysis was conducted using content analysis techniques. The key findings of the study are summarized as follows.Primary obstacles to effective complaint management at the Narathiwat Provincial Damrongdhama Center include a lack of specialized knowledge and counseling skills among officials, ineffective public relations regarding complaint and counseling procedures, poor communication and coordination, insufficient staffing levels, operational challenges with the 1567 hotline system (Ministry of Interior�s Damrongdhama Center), inadequate integration and collaboration among relevant agencies, and delays in reporting operational outcomes by related entities. Recommendations derived from this research advocate for several measures. Firstly, staff should undergo training to enhance their service provision and counseling abilities. Secondly, adequate personnel allocation is crucial for fulfilling the center's mandates. Thirdly, there is a need for heightened publicity concerning complaint channels, counseling services, and the center's mission. Fourthly, improvements to the 1567 hotline system and the 1111 complaint management system are warranted.
