Abstract

This study is qualitative research. The objectives of this research were (1) to study the condition of being single of Muslims in Pattani Municipality and (2) to study the preparation before entering the elderly of Single Muslimah in Pattani Municipality Data were collected using a semi-structured interview form. In-depth interviews and no observations Participation from a group of Muslim informants domicile in Pattani Municipality, 9 people, used a triangular data analysis method and presented the data with a descriptive explanation. The revealed that (1) the conditions for being single for Muslims in Pattani Municipality consisted of 4 conditions as follows: 1) Family conditions, namely family status; environment inside and outside the family Characteristics of parenting in the family Family obligations 2) Psychological conditions such as attitude towards marriage standards for choosing a spouse Love experiences 3) Social conditions, including education and work 4) Cultural conditions, including adaptation under religious teachings and support 5) Health conditions, including congenital disease (2) Preparing for puberty Elders of Muslims It was found that there were 2 groups of Muslims: those who had preparation before entering adulthood, which consisted of preparation in 5 aspects: 1) physical health 2) mental and spiritual 3) financial 4) housing and caregivers 5) Social and Muslim groups who do not have preparation before entering the elderly.
