Abstract

The purposes of this research were 1) to determine the level of motivation among staff in offices in Satun Provincial Hall during the COVID-19 pandemic; 2) to compare motivation of staff working in offices in Satun Provincial Hall during the COVID-19 pandemic classified according to personal factors, and 3) to analyze wellbeing factors affecting performance motivation of staff of the offices in Satun Provincial Hall during the COVID-19 pandemic. Data were collected from government officials, permanent employees, and government employees totaling 236 persons through a questionnaire and analyzed using descriptive statistics consisting of frequency, percentage, mean, standard deviation, and multiple regression analysis. The study found that the performance motivation of staff of the offices in Satun Provincial Hall during the COVID-19 pandemic was at a very high level. However, staff with different personal factors were not different in their level of performance motivation during the COVID-19 pandemic. In addition, wellbeing factors of work-life balance, wage, and relationship with colleagues affected the performance motivation of staff of the offices in Satun Provincial Hall during the COVID-19 pandemic at a statistically significant level of .05 and relationship with colleagues was the factor affecting the performance motivation of staff of the offices in Satun Provincial Hall during the COVID-19 pandemic at a highest level.
