Abstract

Information management issues in ineffective enterprise resource planning is caused by the lack of coordination of business operation within an organization. In addition, storing data in separate departments creates difficulty and complexity in linkage. The above issues cause errors and delays, negatively affecting opportunities and profits as well as business competitiveness, leading to growth of competitors. This research presents a software procurement guideline for the management of enterprise asset planning information on construction materials business to solve the problem of inefficiency and elevate business competition. The software procurement approach is selected based on a weighted assessment of the system, software, and vendor requirements. Measurement and evaluation of selected information systems to assess the success of the investment Based on the conceptual framework of the of balanced organization measurement. It consists of four perspectives: value to business, users, operational excellence, and strategic competition. The results of the evaluation showed that the information system obtained during the procurement had an average evaluation score above the established target. The system can reduce operational procedures, increase overall management efficiency and competitiveness.
