Abstract

The research aims to study of factors affecting to safety behavior of production employees in a biomass electricity generating company and create an action plan to reinforce employees safety behavior. The sample group consisted of 52 production employees at a biomass power plant in Chana, Songkhla Province. A questionnaire was used as a research tool. The analysis of general data of respondents used percentage, mean, standard deviation. The analysis of factors affecting to safety behavior of employees used multiple regression statistics at the significance level of 0.05. The analysis of difference between the mean values of Safety behavior of employees used One way ANOVA at the significance level of 0.05. The research results found that Most production employees are 41 years of age or older, education is at bachelor's degree, the job position is a loader driver and working period is 0-2 years. The opinions regarding safety enhancing factors including education at highest level, enforcement at high level and engineering at high level. The opinions regarding safety behavior in the workplace including Management at high level, environment in workplace at high level, operation at high level and using of tools machine and equipment at high level. The results of hypothesis test revealed that different educational level, job position, and Year of service caused significant difference in work safety behavior at 0.05. The factors that enhance work safety affect safety behavior significant 0.05 is the engineering (β=0.395). Factors enhance work safety do not affect safety behavior are educational (β=0.030)&Enforcement (β=0.287). Implementation of safety behavior enhancement guidelines: a project to design machinery in the production process to be safe by moving the installation point of the machine control cabinet to an appropriate point. The comparative results before and after the operation, before the operation, there were an average of 2 accidents/3 months and after the operation, there were an average of 0 accidents/3 months.
