Core values are the driver to achieve vision. Personnel behavior that is
consistent with core values of the organization will lead to delivery of good service that will be sustainable. Bangkok Dusit Vetchkarn Medical Services Group has defined clear core values and nurses receive instruction on core values from leaders. This study aimed to study the core value based leadership, the level of Implementation of core values in practice, the level of Implementation by dimension of core values by head nurses, and the relationship between leading others based on core value based leadership and the Implementation of core values in the practice of head nurses. The sample group was 202 registered nurses who had at least 1 year working experience. The data were collected by the researcher using a questionnaire and tested for content validity by 3 experts giving a CVI of 0.93. The reliability of the questionnaire parts 2 and 3 yielded Cronbach's alpha coefficients of 0.95 and 0.80, respectively. Data were analyzed using frequency distribution, percentage, mean and standard deviation Relationships were tested using Pearson correlation.
The study found that the core value based leadership of the head nurses was at a high level (M=4.14, SD=0.6). The implementation of core values in the practice by head nurses as perceived by registered nurses was at a high level (M=4.8, SD=0.58). When considering the implementation by dimension of core values, dimension of moral commitment had the highest mean (M=4.07, SD=0.55) and dimension of deep empathy had the lowest mean (M=4.01, SD=0.57). The relationship between core value based leadership style and implementation of core values by head nurses as perceived by registered nurses of Bangkok Hospital In the Dusit Medical Region group had a high positive correlation (r=0.80, p<0.001). The results of this study can be used to bring about this leadership style and systematic implementation of core values in order to develop sustainable service quality and achieve the objectives of the organization.
