Abstract

This qualitative research that aimed to examine the indicators of guidelines for the tutoring school administration in line with Islamic ways in Pattani province was conducted by developing indicators, evaluating indicators by experts, and synthesizing indicators as guidelines for the administration of tutoring schools based on Islamic ways. The target groups consisted of six key informants and five scholarly experts, purposively selected based on prescribed criteria. The instruments used were semi-structured interview, indicator validation form, and administrative guideline verification form. The data was analyzed using content analysis, an index of item objective congruence (IOC), and frequency for confirming suitability of the guidelines. The research result reveals 28 indicators of administrative guidelines for tutoring schools, which can be classified into nine indicators of learners, eleven indicators of administration, and eight indicators of instructional management. These measures can be synthesized into seven development guidelines, namely, focusing on developing skills, knowledge and abilities along with morality and etiquette according to Islamic way for students, facilitating the practice of religion for students and teachers, continuously organizing comprehensive assessment of all aspects in accordance with Islamic principles, adopting teaching model integrated with the universal Islamic ways, offering modern and diverse integrated Islamic curriculum, designing classroom of happiness, giving respect to diversity and inspiring Islamic atmosphere, and managing schools professionally under the Islamic concept. (7) Related Institutes and stakeholders can apply these administrative guidelines to improve and develop tutoring school quality that is consistent with the identity of students in the southern border provinces.
