Abstract

Abstract

The objectives of this research were to assess reactions, assess learning, assess behavior and evaluate the results from the civil servant orientation course training for government employees and local employees before starting to work in the southern border provinces by applying the Kirkpatrick model. The population used in the research was 398 people who attended the orientation course for civil servants, government employees, and local employees before starting work in the southern border provinces in the fiscal year 2021. The research tools were the satisfaction questionnaire, a learning evaluation form before and after the training, a questionnaire on the application of knowledge gained in work and coexistence in a multicultural society and a questionnaire on the benefits that the organization received after the training, the data were analyzed using percentage, mean and standard deviation and analyzing knowledge before and after training by comparing average scores. The study found that by assessing the reaction, participants were satisfied with the training results. Overall, it was at the highest level. Learning evaluation found that the participants had knowledge after training that increased significantly at the level of 0.05 for behavior assessment participants expressed their opinions on the application of knowledge to work and coexistence in a multicultural society. Overall, it was at the highest level and evaluating the results that occur in the organization saw that the participants, commander and colleagues or subordinates, there was a consensus that the training would benefit the organization and the organization's operations to drive problem-solving and development in the southern border provinces at the highest level.
