Minor Thesis TitleDEVELOPING WOMEN'S CLOTHING PATTERN-MAKING SKILLS USING DAVIES' INSTRUCTIONAL MODEL COMBINED WITH SKILL TRAINING KITS FOR FIRST-YEAR HIGHER VOCATIONAL CERTIFICATE STUDENTSAuthor Miss Suwaibah Ma-usengMajor Program Curriculum And InstructionAcademic Year 2024ABSTRACTThis research aimed to: (1) develop skill training kits along with an instructional approach based on Davies' model to enhance women's clothing pattern-making skills for first-year vocational certificate students based on the 75/75 criterion; (2) compare students� pattern-making skills after using the training kits along with an instructional approach based on Davies' model with the 75% benchmark; and (3) examine students' satisfaction with the use of the skill training kits along with an instructional approach based on Davies' model. The study employed a One Group Posttest Only Design. The target group consisted of 20 first-year vocational certificate students enrolled in the course 31804-2003: Pattern-Making and Sewing Techniques for Women's Clothing at Thung Yang Daeng Vocational Training Center, under Pattani Industrial and Community Education College, during the second semester of the 2024 academic year. The research instruments included: (1) three lesson plans for the 31804-2003 course, each consisting of five sessions, with one hour per session; (2) three sets of skill training kits for women's clothing pattern-making; (3) a pattern-making skill assessment form; and (4) a satisfaction questionnaire on the instructional approach integrating Davie�s instructional model and the skill training kits. Data were analyzed using mean, standard deviation, and t-test.The findings revealed that:1. The effectiveness of the instructional approach was 76.86/82.94, exceeding the set criterion of 75/75.2. The students' women's clothing pattern-making skills were significantly higher than the 75% benchmark, with the statistical significance at the 0.01 level.3. Students expressed a high level of satisfaction with the instructional approach integrating Davie�s instructional model and the skill training kits.
