Abstract
This study of work-life balance affecting employee engagement of local administrative organizations, Sadao District, Songkhla Province, aimed to 1) study the levels of employee engagement of local government organizations in Sadao District, Songkhla Province, 2) compare employee engagement levels classified by personal factors, and 3) study work-life balance factors affecting employee engagement of local administrative organizations in Sadao District, Songkhla Province. Data were collected from 260 employees of local government organizations in Sadao District, Songkhla Province, using questionnaires. The analysis included descriptive statistics, consisting of frequency distribution, percentage, mean, and standard deviation, as well as comparisons of sample means, one-way analysis of variance, and multiple regression analysis.
The research results indicated that employee engagement of local government organizations in Sadao District, Songkhla Province, was at a high level. Work engagement among employees of local government organizations did not show statistically significant differences based on gender, age, status, educational levels, or average monthly incomes. However, varying levels of work experience did exhibit statistically significant differences in work engagement (Sig = .014, significance level = 0.05). Additionally, the study identified two significant work-life balance factors that affect employee engagement in local administrative organizations in Sadao District, Songkhla Province: the 'time factor' and the 'intelligence factor.' These factors positively influenced employee engagement and explained 52.90 percent of the variation in employee engagement within local government organizations in the area (R2 = 0.529). The findings of this research can serve as valuable guidelines for local government organizations seeking to enhance their organizational development and promote various aspects of work-life balance for their employees.
