Abstract
This research consisted of 2 objectives. (1) to study the transformational leadership level of Songkhla Hospital administrators in the perspective of their staff; and (2) to investigate the influence of transformational leadership on the work passion. The sample group included 320 people working in the hospital. The research instrument applied was a questionnaire, while the statistics used in the analysis were frequency distribution, percentage, mean, standard deviation and simple regression coefficients.
The findings revealed that the transformational leadership level of the management of Songkhla Hospital was overall at high level. When considering each aspect, it was found that there was the highest level of ideological influence, followed by the inspiration of cognitive stimulation and the aspect of taking into account of individuality, respectively
Regarding the transformational leadership relationships towards determination and dedication to work, it was found that the leadership variable had a positive correlation with a commitment to work. When considering each aspect, it indicated that the transformational leadership variable was positively correlated with the willingness to maintain membership with the organization, the intention to recognize the organization in a positive manner, the uncompromising effort to the obstacles, the intention to be a good member of the organization and the determination to create excellent results which were statistically significant at the .01 level, respectively.
