Abstract

The objectives of this research are to design and develop mobile application for cultural street tourism, Songkhla Old Town, Muang Songkhla District, Songkhla Province. The researcher studied and collected data and surveyed the need of application form from 400 tourists and found that the need on location and classification valued the most at 100%. After that, data are used to develop Songkhla Old Town mobile application and create content in the application by classifying into 3 categories according to cultural streets comprising Nakhonnok Road, Nakhonnai Road and Nang Ngarm Road. Each road is significant concerning each aspect of culture covering 33 places such as traditional architecture, art work, paintings that reflect lifestyles of Songkhla people, religion as well as religious ceremonies and food culture. Satisfaction of 120 tourists obtained from accidental sampling towards the use of mobile application, Songkhla Old Town, Muang Songkhla District, Songkhla Province is studied and the mentioned tourists are asked to try the application Songkhla Old Town. The study on satisfaction of using the three aspects of Songkhla Old Town Application was found that 1. Satisfaction was 4.59 for the quality of content and design. 2. Satisfaction was 4.77 for acceptance of use of technology and 3. Satisfaction was 4.83 for utilization. Most tourists suggested that the developed mobile application is useful and practical.
