Abstract

The purpose of this research aimed to analyze the desirable core competencies. And to study and propose guidelines for the development of the desirable core competencies of civil servants in the southern border provinces Case study of Yala province by synthesizing from in-depth interview with key informants. Including of government agency in Yala Province Civil servants in Yala Provincial government agencies, community leaders, executives in the southern border provinces administrative center and Deputy Governor of Yala Province The results reveal that 1) Desirable core competencies of civil servants in the southern border provinces, a case study of Yala Province, were as follow: Achievement motivation Service mind Expertise Integrity Teamwork and Cultural sensitivity 2) Guidelines for the development of desirable core competencies of civil servants in the southern border provinces by training to educate and build understanding about the culture. Area traditions guidelines for the coexistence of people of different religions and organizing training in operations by grouping government officials with expertise in the area to learn and transfer expertise and can to compile problems including conflicts arising from cultural differences that may arise during operation to form a case study to learn together and solutions to prevent mistakes that may occur in the future so as not to happen again or occur as possible
