Abstract
The objectives of this study on the factors affecting self-development in the work of support personnel, Faculty of Dentistry, Prince of Songkhla University were as follows. 1) To study the level of self-development in the work of support personnel, Faculty of Dentistry, Prince of Songkhla University. 2) To study, compare self-development in the work of support personnel, Faculty of Dentistry, Prince of Songkla University classified by personal factors. 3) To study the achievement motivation factors affecting self-development in the work of support personnel, Faculty of Dentistry, Prince of Songkhla University. The representative sample included support personnel, Faculty of Dentistry, Prince of Songkla University, 166 samples. The data obtained were used for data analysis with descriptive statistics consisting of frequency distribution, percentage, mean, standard deviation and inferential statistics comprising One-way ANOVA and multiple regression analysis.
The study findings were as follows. The level of self-development in the work of support personnel, Faculty of Dentistry, Prince of Songkhla University overall was at high level. The aspect with the highest mean was the search for friends, followed by goal setting, patience and effort, learning, finding optimal resources, judgment. The aspect with the lowest mean was assessment. The results of compared self-development in the work of support personnel, Faculty of Dentistry, Prince of Songkhla University classified by personal factors were as follows. Support personnel, Faculty of Dentistry, Prince of Songkla University with personal factors including gender, age, education level, average monthly income, working period were significantly different at 0.01.
The level of self-development in the work was not different. Finally, it was found that the achievement motivation factors affected self-development in the work of support personnel, Faculty of Dentistry, Prince of Songkhla University in a statistically significant manner at 0.01 level. The level of influencing could be explained at 83.50 percent.
