แนวทางส่งเสริมศักยภาพผู้สูงอายุ องค์การบริหารส่วนตำบลวัดสน อำเภอระโนด จังหวัดสงขลา

Abstract

The objective of this research was to find out the potential promotion for the elderly, Wat Son Subdistrict Administration Organization, Ranot District Songkhla Province. The study was a qualitative research by In-depth interview. A sample of 60 cases was drawn from Elderly, Wat Son Subdistrict Administration Organization, Ranot District Songkhla Province. This research presents a descriptive analysis of the data obtained through the data collection instrument. Based on the findings of this investigation, it was concluded that the congenital diseases of most elders are hypertension and diabetes. They are treated at Ranot hospital. They take care of themselves by exercising, eating healthy food, complying and taking medicine with the doctor's order. The elders satisfied healthcare that the government arranged. The income of most of the elders is lower than 1,000 baht due to having received a subsistence allowance from the government only. The elder is not the member of the occupational group but they still have knowledge and skills about vocations and agriculture in instructing people, and there are lands for livelihood within the community. They always attend community activities and exchange opinion because they obtained information directly and clearly. Some patient and elder are far from a community, lack of treatment and knowledge of healthcare. Therefore they want doctors or specialists survey, see, auscultate and educate about healthcare in the area. Based on the major findings, it was recommended as follows: (1) the healthcare for elderly policies should be specified clearly for complying and following up to improve efficiency; (2) should there are healthcare forum by focusing on the people are involved in proposing opinions, needs, problems, and solution in order to set healthcare for the elder policies that are consistent with the needs and lifestyles of the community; (3) the knowledge training about the healthcare of elder should be provided to the staff responsible for public health in the community; and (4) elderly people should be encouraged to participate in health promotion activities, such as sports courts, adequate equipment and suitable for elderly people.
