Abstract

The objective of this research was to studies the characteristic of the mentor and assess the outcome of Local Health Funds Region 12, under the framework of characteristic and Ottawa Charter concept. Studies the characteristic of the mentor studies from all mentors and 93 project writers. The studies of project outcome using stratified random sampling consisting of 62 mentors and 93 project writers. The instruments were a characteristic questionnaire and a project assessment were validated by 3 experts and yielded IOC values between 0.67 and 1.00. Studies between January 2018 and November 2019. Data were analyzed using frequency, percentage, mean, standard deviation and chi-square. It was found that mentor characteristic was self assessed as being at the most level in the skill of coaching 83.20%, mentor characteristic was assessed by project writers as being at the most level in the motivation of allows to express their opinions 86.00%. In terms of personal factors, age was found to be correlated with mentor motivation characteristics. The length of time to become a mentor was related to the self-concept of the mentor. And job positions related to the skill characteristics of mentors. Including structural project outcomes, 92.50 specified the objectives and indicators, 97.85% used skill-development strategies, and 54.84% created public policy strategies according to the Ottawa Charter. The results of the study should be beneficial to the departments of potential mentors and project writers in regarding curriculum development, framework of health, project plan of health promotion, knowledge of public policy, community constitution and health assembly.
