Abstract

The objectives of the study were 1) to investigate communication channels of sub-district headmen, village headmen, etc. vertically from top to bottom, horizontally, and vertically from bottom to top during the COVID-19 pandemic in the area of Ranot District, Songkhla Province, 2) to explore the efficiency in using the communication channels among sub-district headmen, village headmen, etc. vertically from top to bottom, horizontally, and vertically from bottom to top during the COVID-19 pandemic in the area of Ranot District, Songkhla Province, and 3) to compare the efficiency in using the communication channels among sub-district headmen, village headmen, etc. classified according to personal factors during the COVID-19 pandemic in the area of Ranot District, Songkhla Province. A questionnaire was used to collect data from a sample group of 181 residents calculated using Taro Yamane’s formula. The statistics used for data analysis were frequency, percentage, standard deviation, t-test, f-test, and one-way ANOVA analysis. The study found 1) the communication channel used by most subdistrict headmen, village headmen, etc. vertically from top to bottom, horizontally, and vertically from bottom to top during the COVID-19 pandemic in the area of Ranot District, Songkhla Province was LINE. 2) For the efficiency in using the communication channels among sub-district headmen, village headmen, etc. vertically from top to bottom, horizontally, and vertically from bottom to top during the COVID-19 pandemic in the area of Ranot District, Songkhla Province, it was found that the efficiency in using all the three forms of communication channels was at the highest level. 3) Sub-district headmen, village headmen, etc. who were different ingender, age, educational level, and monthly income used different forms of communication channels and were different in the efficiency in using the communication channels during the COVID-19 pandemic in the area of Ranot District, Songkhla Province, and the difference was statistically significant at the level .05
