Abstract
This research aims to study the specification design for the smart tracking device in the ambulance for pre-hospital care by applying quality function deployment (QFD) technique. The samples including the public, the command and control staffs, and the emergency medical staffs. The researcher uses the open- ended questionnaire to query for what the samples need, then gathers all the need to create the complete questionnaire. Sequentially, it asks about the level of importance on each factor, calculates the weight of each group by analytic hierarchy process (AHP) technique, calculates the average level of demand, and then applies the Planning Matrix. Technical requirements can be raised by brainstorming for finding the solution to response sample's needs. Then the priorities for the technical requirements are set. 16 technical requirements with the highest cumulative weight value of 80% can be used to design features of the smart tracking device to meet the needs of the target group as follows: internet connection, camera in the car, connecting the control center with the control staff, connecting with the front screen of the car as iPad size (10.5 inches), iPad for reporting, results from the 1669, data has a record back to 7 days, connecting with the traffic system, working system in the control room, image recording system, catch the final landing point of the car, connecting iPad with the front screen of the car, show the appropriate car for getting out, show the car speed (km/hr), position the camera can swivel, and connecting with the medical device in the car.
6 technical requirements including internet connection, connecting the control center with the control staff, data has a record back to 7 days, catch the final landing point of the car, show the car speed (km/hr), and show the appropriate car for getting out were applied to the smart tracking devices in some areas of Songkhla Province. The target group was satisfied with these technical requirements more than 75% and the satisfaction was at a high and highest level that it is expected to meet the needs of them as well.
10 technical requirements pending the deployment of the smart tracking devices including connecting iPad with the front screen of the car, camera in the car, connecting with the front screen of the car as iPad size (10.5 inches), image recording system, position the camera can swivel, connecting with the medical device in the car, connecting with the traffic system, iPad for reporting, results from the 1669, and working system in the control room. The target group was satisfied with these technical requirements more than 75% and the satisfaction was at a high and highest level that when applied to the smart tracking devices, it predicted that the performance of the device will be higher and can meet the needs of them as well.
