Abstract

ABSTRACTThis research aimed to: 1) measure the progression of learning achievement after using the Davies Practical Skills Learning Model Integrated with Simulation, 2) compare the learning achievement on the topic of Hajj and Umrah before and after using the Davies Practical Skills Learning Model Integrated with Simulation, 3) assess the practical skills in performing Hajj and Umrah after using the Davies Practical Skills Learning Model Integrated with Simulation, and 4) evaluate student satisfaction toward the Davies Practical Skills Learning Model Integrated with Simulation. The sample comprised 34 ninth-grade students (Grade 9/4) from Udomsasn Wittaya School in Mueang Yala District, Yala Province, during the first semester of the 2024 academic year, selected through cluster random sampling. Research instruments included: 1) three instructional plans based on the Davies Practical Skills Learning Model Integrated with Simulation in the topic of Hajj and Umrah, 2) an achievement test on the Hajj and Umrah unit, 3) a performance assessment rubric for Hajj and Umrah practical skills, and 4) a satisfaction questionnaire regarding the Davies Practical Skills Learning Model Integrated with Simulation. The study employed a pre-experimental design with a one-group pretest-posttest configuration. Data analysis incorporated statistical methods including percentage, mean, standard deviation, relative gain score, one-sample t-test, and dependent samples t-test.The findings revealed that: 1) the relative gain score demonstrated high development with a mean value of 57.12, 2) post-instruction achievement scores were significantly higher than pre-instruction scores at the .01 level of significance, 3) all participants exhibited excellent proficiency in Hajj and Umrah practical skills, exceeding the established 80% criterion, and 4) participants expressed the highest level of satisfaction toward the Davies Practical Skills Learning Model Integrated with Simulation. These results substantiate the effectiveness of the Davies Practical Skills Learning Model Integrated with Simulation in enhancing both conceptual knowledge and procedural competence, enabling students to execute the required procedures accurately and fluently while maintaining exceptional levels of engagement and satisfaction throughout the learning process.
