Abstract

The main purposes of this project were to feasibility study of toxic gas treatment of rubber sheet product wastewater and concentrated rubber latex wastewater using plasma ozonation and to study change of uv relative intensity passing though toxic gaseous species before and after treatment by ozone. The results showed that plasma ozonation system had a high efficient NO2 removal whilst the SO2 reduction was slightly decomposed by ozonaton. Thus design and construction of plasma ozonizer using silent electrical discharges and the development of ozone determination by optical spectroscopy can be achieved. However, NO2 removal has been effective operated by thisjdasma chemistry technique but the SO2 and H2ร removal from toxic gas of rubber latex waste water need to be more concerned in the future work.
