Abstract

The purposes of this research were 1) to development 4E based Learning to enhance scientific argumentation skills of grade 11 students, 2) to compare the scientific argumentation skills before and after the experiment using 4E based Learning for grade 11 students and 3) to study the students satisfaction with the 4E based Learning to enhance scientific argumentation skills of grade 11 students. The target used in this study were 31 students of grade 11 in the second semester of semester of the academic year 2023 at demonstration School Prince of Songkla University. The research instrument consisted of 1) 4E learning management plans 2) the scientific argumentation skill test 3) post-learning management 4) learning reflection and 5) questionnaire on satisfaction with the 4E based Learning. The experimental research was conducted using one group Pre-test Post-test Design. Mean, standard deviation and t-test dependent group were employed in the data analysis.The results of the research indicated that:1.The development 4E based Learning to enhance scientific argumentation skills of grade 11 students can be develop in 4 steps as follow: 1) Encounter problems 2) Explore Need 3) Exchange Learning and 4) Evaluate & summary concept2. The comparison of scientific argumentation skills before and after the experiment using 4E based Learning for grade 11 students as follow: The students mean score of the posttest on scientific argumentation skills were higher than mean score of the pretest at the statistical significance of .013. The students satisfaction towards 4E based Learning was at the highest level.
