Abstract
This study has objectives for investigate 1) the casual factors influencing
government officer and employee’s retentions of local administrative organization and 2)
the level of intention to stay in local administrative organization of government officers and
employees from personal factors in term of multicultural difference. The sample was 220
government officers and employees of local administrative organization in Mueang Pattani
from the stratified random sampling. The research instrument was questionnaire. The
statistics applied for data analysis include frequency, percentage, mean, standard deviation
(S.D.), Pearson’s product moment correlation coefficients, t-test, one-way ANOVA and
multiple linear regression. The result found that
1) The government officers and employees of local administrative
organization in Mueang Pattani had a high level of intention to stay. 2) The government
officers and employees from different domicile and religion had different level of intention
to stay in local administrative organization of Mueang Pattani at statistical significant level of
0.01. The government officers and employees who are Islamic and domiciled in the three
southern border provinces had level of intention in the job more than The government
officers and employees who are Buddhism and stay outside the three southern border
provinces 3) The different language used in daily life of government officers and employees
had different level of intention to stay in local administrative organization of Mueang Pattani
at statistical significant level of 0.05 and.4) The personal factors in term of multicultural
differences about domicile and the organizational factors affecting on the level of intention
to stay in local administrative organization, Mueang Pattani of government officers and
employees at statistical significant level of 0.05.
