Abstract
This research consist of three objectives 1). To study the Islamic law on
consumption. 2). To study the law of Halal in Thailand. 3). To study the Necessity and the Suitability in Developing of Halal law in Thailand by using the qualitative research methodology, collecting data from Quran and al-Hadith, Figh text, law text and other related documents. Moreover gets data from inquiries and in-depth interviews from target groups and the researcher used the descriptive method and found that :-
1. Islam instructs muslims to consume Halal, clean and health benefit to
the body and mind. and prohibited to consume the ambiguous and not Halal or unclear in terms of Halal.
2. Thailand has no law on Halal directly. It has only the Islamic
organization administration Act B.E. 2540 that gives an authorize to the central Islamic committees in Thailand and the provincial Islamic committees to issue certificates about Islamic affairs including Halal affairs as well.
3. Thailand needs to have Halal law and develop it to cover the
organization structure qualification and the authority of workers. The penalty measures for deception entrepreneurs and violation of consumer rights. These for the suitability and conform with the social religious and economic development. In this case to create the consumer confidence in order to compete for marketing and exporting Halal products in the world market.
