Abstract

This qualitative and action research aims to study the implement of lesson study and open approach to build the Professional learning community of mathematics teachers in Sritaksin School under Narathiwat Private Education Office. It is also to study the community of professional learning of mathematics teachers in Sritaksin School under Narathiwat Private Education Office from implement of lesson study and open approach. The key informants used in this study were one school administrator, one deputy head of school academics, one head of mathematic Learning (grade-3 mathematics teacher), three Mathematic teachers of Prathom 1, 2 and 4, and two representative teachers who were not part of the class study team. The informants were selected by purposive sampling method. The instruments used to collect data were a semi-structured interview, non-participant observation form, record and reflection form of post-learning management, learner learning assessment form and related documents. Electronic information and researcher analyzed the data by analyzing the content. The results follow as: 1. Implementation of lesson study and open approach to build the Professional learning community of mathematics teachers in Sritaksin School under Narathiwat Private Education Office showed that in overal most of the teachers followed a three-step action plan: 1) preparation stage, 2) operating stage, and 3) summary of the past lesson can be divided two subject matter as: 3.1) The changes arising from the implementation of lesson study and open approach: (1) Teachers (2) Lesson Study Team (3) Administrator (4) Students and (5) Lessons and 3.2) Problem conditions and solutions are (1) time, (2) difficulty, (3) media, and (4) experience. 2. The community of professional learning of mathematics teachers in Sritaksin School under Narathiwat Private Education Office from implement of lesson study and open approach shows that there were five elements of professional learning community as follows: 1) shared vision and values 2) learning teams 3) shared leadership 4) shared learning development and 5) support collaboration.
