Abstract
This study aims to explore the perspective on the police discipline in Narathiwat province and compares the perspective to the personal factors. 363 participants are the commissioned and non-commissioned officers in Narathiwat province. The survey questionnaire was a tool to correct the data. The analysis tools were frequency, percentage, means, standard deviation, t-Test, F-Test, and One-Way ANOVA
The finding reveals that the majority of the participants is male ages between 26 to 35 years old, Buddhist, and has been working on the career for six to ten years. They commonly graduated the lower level of education than the bachelor degree. They mostly rank as the police sergeants, and originally from the three southernmost provinces. It also showed that the participants are highly responsive to the perspective on the police discipline in Narathiwat province. The highest means ranked up at the statement claimed ‘There is no indiscipline police in their regional police station. On the other hand, the statement ‘the policemen in their regional police station are actively responding to their duties’ ranked down at the lowest means. Moreover, the finding reveals the difference of ages, educational background, religion, and ranks of the officers are resulting in a different perspective on the police’s discipline at a statistically significant level at 0.05. The finding suggested that the development aids on language competence and technological competence for the Thai policemen are needed in order to enhance their competitive edge. Also, the intensive supervise by the superative regarding discipline is necessary.
