Abstract

This study aimed to 1. assess the essential needs for the development of learning support systems for students at Prince of Songkla University, Pattani Campus, and 2. propose development strategies aligned with the AUN-QA framework. The research was conducted in two phases. Phase I involved 390 undergraduate students enrolled in the academic year 2024. Data were collected through a rating scale questionnaire administered both online and onsite. The data were analyzed using frequency, percentage, mean, standard deviation, and the PNImodified. Results were presented in narrative form. Phase II involved interviews with executives of the Student Development Division and academic staff at the Pattani Campus. Data were analyzed using descriptive content analysis.The findings revealed that the most urgent needs (requiring immediate action) were related to student potential development and accommodation welfare and learning skills Development. High-priority needs (requiring urgent development) also included to student potential development, accommodation welfare and learning skills Development and Health Services and Well-being Promotion. According to the AUN-QA framework, the proposed strategies for developing student learning support include redesigning parking areas to align with university policy, promoting the use of electric trams to reduce reliance on personal motorcycles, and enhancing campus safety through the installation of closed-circuit television (CCTV) and increasing the number of security personnel. Furthermore, it is recommended to modernize Co-Learning Spaces to be inclusive for all student groups and improve facilities such as standard toilets, accessible restrooms for individuals with disabilities, and canteen areas. Additional measures should include promoting student well-being through hygiene control, vector-borne disease management, and the recruitment of food sanitation specialists.
