Abstract

ABSTRACT This research aimed to develop an online learning environment based on the constructivist theory, compare academic achievement and follow up on self-learning characteristics in 8 areas of Grade 6 students at Ban Po Mo School (Phromthep Rat Bamrung), Songkhla Primary Educational Service Area Office 2. The target group used in this research consisted of 2 groups: Group 1, consisting of 2 homeroom teachers and 2 subject teachers; Group 2, consisting of 30 Grade 6 students who were interested in studying Technology (Computer Science). The research instrument was an online learning environment based on the constructivist theory using the One Group Pretest-Posttest Design. The basic data analysis used the mean and standard deviation. The consistency of the learning environment was assessed by finding the index of consistency and appropriateness. The test used the discrimination power, difficulty level, and reliability. The results of the research found that The results of the efficiency of using online learning environments based on the constructivist theory found that the efficiency was 80.42/88.50. The results of monitoring self-learning characteristics in 8 areas found that overall, students had self-learning behaviors in all areas assessed.Keywords: Online learning environment, Self-directed learning
