Abstract
The objectives of this research were 1) to study the conditions of academic administration of religious academic division in private Islamic schools, Pattani Province, 2) to compare the conditions of academic administration of the religious academic division in Islamic private schools in Pattani Province based on gender, work experience, and school size, 3) to study the problems of academic ad ministration of the religious academic division in private Islamic schools, and 4) to study the guidelines for the development of academic administration of the religious academic division in private Islamic schools, Pattani Province. The data were collect ed by using a questionnaire from the population of 34 private Islamic schools in Pattani Province. The statistics used to analyze the data obtained from the questionnaire were percentage, mean, standard deviation (SD), Ttest (Tvalue), and the Ftest (Fv alue). In addition, the data were collected by interviewing target groups of 6 people who are administrators of private Islamic schools under the Office of the Private Education, Pattani Province. And later, the data were analyzed using content analysis. T he results revealed that 1) Conditions of academic administration of religious academic division in Islamic private schools in Pattani Province for general and for each aspect are at a high level. 2) It is found that there is no difference between gender, work experience, and school size of academic administration of religious division in Islamic private schools, Pattani Province. 3) Problems in the academic administration of religious division in private Islamic schools in Pattani Province were found that the frequency of problems with the most concerning the curriculum was that the religious division lacked experts in the curriculum. Regarding the learning process, there was a lack of teaching supervision. In terms of teaching materials, it is rarely promoted in the use of diverse teaching materials. And, in terms of measurement and assessment, the religious academic division lacks knowledge in creating measurement and assessment tools. 4) Guidelines for the development of academic administration of ous academic division in private Islamic schools in Pattani Province found that the curriculum should be integrated between the Islamic curriculum and the academic curriculum. Besides, religious teachers should be encouraged to use a variety of techniques in conducting the learning process as well as to use media to aid in teaching and learning. Meanwhile, training and workshops to build knowledge and understanding for media use and the designing of teaching materials are encouraged to be conducted. In addition, a meeting should be held to plan the assessment criteria, and there should be continuous supervision for monitoring measurements and assessments.
