Abstract

River erosion is a critical process that cause a lot of terrain changes and affects people who live on the river or live nearby the river areas. This study analyzed the erosion pattern of Thepha river in years 2003, 2011, 2015, 2017 and 2018. The data obtained from satellite images in Google Earth covering latitude 6.824138o-6.827198o N and longitude 100.972019o-100.973211o E of 570 points along each bank. Cubic spline model was used to fit the change of each year compared to 2003 for left and right bank. The results show that there is movement of river bank line to west.
