Abstract

Abstract

The objectives of this research were 1) to examine the instructional supervision conditions of Islamic private schools in Songkhla province, 2) to compare the instructional supervision conditions of Islamic private schools in Songkhla province by school sizes and 3) to propose guidelines for the development of the instructional supervision conditions of Islamic private schools in Songkhla province. The sample size used in this study was 339 respondants who were proportionally randomly sellected from 46 Islamic private schools in Songkhla province. The data was analysed using descriptive statistics i.e., frequecies, percentages, means and standard deviation and inferential statistics based on F-test. The results of the study reveal as follow: 1) Teachers’ perceived level of instructional supervervision implementation of Ialamic private schools in Songkhla province in overall and each aspect is high. 2) There are no statistically significant differences found in the overall and each aspect of the perceived level of the comparison of instructional supervision of Islamic private schools in Songkhla province by school sizes. 3) The proposed guidelines are that hands-on training on instructional supervision should be organized for those concerned to help achieve its objectives effectively; variety and adaptability of instructional supervison approaches are to be applied accordingly within the present context; performance evaluation should be informed to the supervisees for better improvement.
