Abstract
The objectives of the study were to compare learning accomplishment, scientific creativity, and primary 5 students’ scientific method ability designed as Design Thinking Method, also examine the students’ satisfaction on the Design Thinking Method. The sample was a class with 20 students in primary 5 of Sukhirin School,
Narathiwat Primary Education Service Area office 2, Narathiwat. The duration of the implementation was 16 weeks in the second semester. The research instruments were the Design Thinking Method learning plan, the scientific learning achievement test, the evaluation of scientific creativity form, the evaluation of basic scientific skill form, the satisfaction towards to the Design Thinking Method, the author’s field note, and the semi – structured Interview. The research methodology operated as OneGroup Pretest – Posttest Design including data analysis, means, and standard deviation.
The findings were as follows: 1) The post-test’s learning accomplishment was higher than the pre-test. The pre-test’s mean was at 16.10 and the post-test was 22.40 in percentage. 2) The result of scientific creativity after learning was higher than before learning. The percentage of the before and after learning were 12.75 and 16.75 in order. 3) The students’ scientific skill after learning was higher than before learning. The percentage of the before and after learning were 10.60 and 12.25 in order. 4) the satisfaction of the students towards Design Thinking Method was a high level.
