ปัญหาและอุปสรรคของการดำเนินงานด้านการจัดสวัสดิการสังคมสำหรับผู้สูงอายุ ของเทศบาลเมืองควนลัง อำเภอหาดใหญ่ จังหวัดสงขลา

Abstract

The objective of this study was to study the level of problems and obstacles in the implementation of social welfare provision for the elderly. To study characteristics and external factors in state policy and inter-agency cooperation that affect the level of problems and obstacles in the implementation of social welfare for the elderly of Khuan Lang Municipality, Hat Yai District, Songkhla Province. The sample group was the elderly population of Khuan Lang Municipality, aged 60-79 years, 314 people. The instrument used in the study was a questionnaire. The statistics used in the research were number, percentage, mean, and standard deviation. The statistical tests were t-test, one-way ANOVA and multiple regression analysis. The results of the study showed that the elderly in the area of 6 villages of Khuan Lang Municipality, Hat Yai District, Songkhla Province had problems in operating social welfare for the elderly as a whole at a moderate level, which could be divided into 3 aspects: health and treatment, finance and income and recreation. When sequencing, it was found that the most problematic aspect in order namely recreation, health and treatment, finance and income, respectively. The study on association found that personal factors include average income, underlying disease, and housing characteristics. External factors in policy and interagency cooperation affect the problems and obstacles of social welfare operations for the elderly. The recommendation is to publicize the rights and benefits of welfare for the elderly to the elderly in the community thoroughly. The suggestion is to promote careers for the elderly, organize public relations on various benefits, collect opinions and needs of the elderly in the area. This allows the Khuan Lang Municipality to develop a welfare development plan for the elderly through the assessment of the elderly group and increasing the number of Village Health Volunteers (VHVs) of each village to meet and talk about living conditions and regular health check-ups.
