Abstract

This piece of research aimed to 1) observes the service quality of the Songkhla Provincial Land Office at Hatyai branch on the customers’ perspective. 2) Compare the service quality of the Songkhla Provincial Land Office at Hatyai branch on the customers’ perspective which was classified accordingly to their personnel factors. 3) Understand the correlation between personnel factors of the customers and the economy and land business circumstance in Hatyai. 4) Explore the correlation between the quality of the service at the office and the economy and land business circumstance in Hatyai, and 5) Provide suggestions on the quality improvement of the service at the office. 350 citizens who visited the land office for services were selected. Frequency, Percentage, Mean, Standard Deviation, T-test and f-test with One-way ANOVA, Chi-square, and Pearson Correlation Coefficient were used in the analysis. The results showed that the perspective of the customers toward the service of the Songkhla Provincial Land Office at Hatyai branch was at the excellent level. The highest mean fell into reliability followed by tangibility, customer-centric, customer confidence, and customer responsiveness, respectively. Secondly, the participants moderately aware of the economy and land business circumstances in Hatyai as the highest mean proved that the price of the land in Hatyai area was satisfied, followed by the perception of the participants that the economy and land business circumstance in Hatyai had improved to a satisfactory level. Thirdly, the study revealed that the participants with different careers and incomes reflected a various level of perspectives toward the quality of the service of the Songkhla Provincial Land Office at Hatyai branch as a statistically significant level of .05 while age, level of education, and income related to the perception toward the economy and land business circumstance in Hatyai as a statistically significant level of .05. Moreover, the quality of the service at the Songkhla Provincial Land Office at Hatyai branch showed a positive relationship at the moderate level toward the economy and land business circumstance in Hatyai as a statistically significant level of .01 which r = .414.
