Abstract

The purpose of this qualitative study was to (1) investigate working of Songkhla Provincial social development and human security volunteers of quality of life. (2) study the guidelines for the development of the volunteer work for social development and human security in Songkhla Province. This was a qualitative research. Data were collected from related documents, and through in-depth interviews with 8 volunteers of Songkhla Provincial social development and human security who were selected using purposive sampling to work in a working group, head of government offices and 2 related officials from Office of Songkhla Provincial Social Development and Human Security, and 16 stakeholders selected through purposive sampling from 26 people who were registered as recipients of services given by Songkhla Provincial social development and human security volunteers. By sampling Snowball Technique and group discussion. The study found that (1) Songkhla provincial social development and human security volunteers were a mechanism driving social work of Songkhla Provincial Office of Social Development and Human Security in communities at the provincial, district, and sub- district levels to targeting prospects and monitoring social situations in the area. Coordination with community networks outside the community. And link work between the state and the local community, as well as motivate and motivate the community to collaborate to brainstorm ideas for a community plan. (2) Working of Songkhla Provincial social development and human security volunteers in 3 sides to improve the quality of life of the target groups in four areas: health, mental and emotional, social and environmental. (3) The guidelines for the development of the volunteer work for social development and human security in Songkhla include: 1) clear working guidelines Songkhla provincial social development and human security volunteers; 2) training to enhance the skills of Songkhla provincial social development and human security volunteers; 3) Support of tools and budgets; and 4) creation of recognition and cooperation in the work of the Songkhla provincial social development and human security volunteers.
