Abstract
This research aims to study level of factors related to work engagement, level of work engagement and factors influencing work engagement. A questionnaire was used to collect data from 360 Generation Y employees aged between 23 and 38 years old at Electricity Generating Authority of Thailand (Head Quarter). The data was analyzed by frequency, percentage, arithmetic mean, standard deviation and stepwise multiple regression analysis.
The research results found that 4 factors related to work engagement (Workplace Factors, Personal Factors, Job Characteristic Factors and Organizational Factors) was rated at high level. The level of 3 dimensions of work engagement (Dedication, Vigor and Absorption) in the overall was high. And results showed that the factors influencing work engagement were Personal Factors, Workplace Factors and Job Characteristic Factors. However, the Organizational Factors were not significant to work engagement.
