Abstract
The objectives of the study were to explore the efficiency awareness of the citizens in Yala municipality in Yala province toward the state welfare card policy and to compare and contrast the efficiency awareness of the citizens based on the personal fundamental factors including gender, age, educational background, occupation, and income. Data from 376 samples who reside in Yala municipality were gathered in the form of a questionnaire survey which divided into two parts, the efficiency awareness toward the state welfare card policy on the individual dimension and the efficiency awareness toward the state welfare card policy on the social dimension. The statistics which were applied in the analysis were frequency, percentage, mean, and standard deviation, t-test with One-Way ANOVA, Scheffe’s pairwise comparison, and hypothesis testing of a statistically significant level at 0.05. They reflected a moderate level on the efficiency awareness toward the state welfare card policy. After the comparison of the different efficiency awareness toward the policy based on the differences of gender, age, educational background, occupation, and income, found that the differences of gender and educational background reflected a different awareness. On the other hand, the difference of age showed no difference in individual dimension but a social dimension difference even the difference between occupation and income also showed no difference. The government and the associate organizations need to rethinking implementation of this policy for the highest efficiency for the citizens.
