Abstract

This descriptive research aims to study the supporting role of the 10 community health security funds in Sadao district to manage the oral health problems. Purposive sampling is used for selecting key informants. They can be divided into four groups, that is, 10 persons from funding responsible personnel group, 127 persons from funding committee group, 90 persons from network groups that can request funding from the fund and 7 experts group, 234 informants in total. The Collecting data include survey data, questionnaire, focus group guidelines and group discussion guidelines, period of data collection starts from March 2019 to October 2019. The quantitative data analysis using descriptive statistics and content analysis for qualitative data. The results show that from 2016-2018 total duration of 3 years, 10 community health security funds provided support to networks groups projects or activities to manage oral health problems, amount 13 Project budget 249,770 baht or 2.2 percent from the total budget of 11,148,693 baht. For improving the oral health problems, the community health security fund should have a role to support establish public policy formulating a participatory strategic plan and supporting projects or activities in 4 aspects, that is, dental health promotion should support projects/activities for people to access dental health training, providing dental health education media and providing an environment for conducive dental care. Disease prevention aspects, should support the creation of community leaders, supporting projects/activities for people to access fluoride sources, sealants, supporting oral disease surveillance and receiving oral health screening. Disease treatment and rehabilitation aspects, should support people to treatment/rehabilitation services Including consultation on the treatment and rehabilitation of the oral cavity through various channels. In this regard, the role of supporting oral health problems in the community health security fund, Depend on various factors such as the composition of the fund committee, fund management Policies of the organization, networks and participation in solving oral health problems of organizations, networks and communities. The study supporting, are the agencies of the National Health Security Office can clearly define the policy framework and the fund committee's role in managing oral health problems and provide community or regional health security funds push for network groups management for strategic planning and project development. As well as encouraging the dental care profession to see the importance of reviewing operations Determine the budget proportion associated with the management of oral health problems. May establish a dental health fund
